Well, Shannon’s Way in New Zealand that is. While we’ve been operating since early July, our official lunch to the public is next week. The photo above is the front of the invitation we sent to invited guests. The invite opens from the middle (between the Asian Man on the left and the woman on the right) to reveal this:

It’s been a heck of ride from the time we presented our business plan to our partners/investors in Melbourne in June till this day. From that time till now, I can count in one hand the number of evenings (where the work day has ended) I had time off from ‘work’ whether it is working on existing projects, researching material for the business or simply thinking about the future from a business perspective.

For the launch, we have invited one of New Zealand’s most respected commentators, Rod Oram to present about the value of social marketing, a concept that is at the heart of Shannon’s Way’s value proposition.

In past job interviews, I have always been proud of telling potential employers that one unique thing about me is that I treat any company I work for as my own.

And now that I actually am a part-shareholder to a company such as Shannon’s Way, the feeling is different. Way scarier more than I could ever describe but on the other hand, much more exhilarating that I have gone outside my comfort zone, pushed beyond what was ‘routine’ and ‘expected’ to something that has a potential to make a difference.

And that’s all I’m going to say about.

I ‘virtually’ welcome you to our opening. Let’s toast to success!

Cheers
