I love the colour RED. I’m not sure why. I never used to. When I was in my early teens to mid 20’s, I was obsessed with the colour blue that my Mum had to practically beg me to buy clothes other than the colour blue as my wardrobe was starting to get…mmm…..boring!
My family and close friends know that I’m obsessed with the colour red. Most of the pressies I get have the colour red in them or are in colours that complement the colour red.
So here you go my 7 Red Things at Home in response to my good friend, Shai Coggins’ meme:
The meme goes like this:
The idea is simple:
- Take photos of 7 red things that you can find around your home.
- Tag 7 people to do the same thing.
My 7 red things at home are:
1. Sunbeam Choccy Fountain – this baby has been a hit with all our guests (child or adult!) in all the parties I’ve organised at home. This is actually the second iteration as the original fountain given to me by my sister and brother-in-law for my birthday 3 years ago died from overuse!
2. KitchenAid Pot – this is part of my KitchenAid cookware set. I love it! I’m hanging out for a KitchenAid mixer (red of course!) but not sure when that wish will be granted!
3. Candle holder - this comes in a pair and is our dining table mainstsay. A gift given to me by one of my good friends here in New Zealand, Shell as her way of saying thank you for hosting her baby shower 
4. Louis Vuitton Passy Rouge (Epi Leather) – I bought this bag on impulse sometime in October 2008 while attending a conference in Auckland. It’s one of my ultimate favourite in my bag collection.
5. Mi Piaci strappy sandals – I bought this on sale at Mi Piaci (one of my favourite shoe stores!) branch in Westfield Riccarton Mall.
6. Paint on Canvas wall decoration – this is part of a 3-piece set I found in a local arts and crafts store in Akaroa or the NZ West Coast. Can’t remember but I love it. Our house is painted in neutral colour and I love it that I can put up decorations that have striking colours and they just look right.
7. Diet Coke in Can – my staple drink. I We buy this by the box. know it’s bad for me but it’s an addiction to me like coffee and cigarettes for others.

My Kitchen has a red theme going on! I didn’t choose it (my mom did when she used to live here) but since it was already kind of the theme when we moved in, we just went with it! LOL
