I saw this property in Fendalton and fell in love with it.

Simon doesn’t like it. He thinks it’s got no character plus he doesn’t like the swimming pool (or the “maintenance” part of having a pool).
MrG prefers a villa surrounded by mature trees. Well, if he had a choice I know he’d want to live somewhere with a million dollar view or somewhere outside the city.
I don’t mind a house with ‘character’ as long as the interior (and windows!) are fully renovated. I don’t want to deal with outdated plumbing or live in a cold, draughty house.
I don’t want to live outside the city for now. A house on the hill with a million-dollar view is nice too if we can afford it!

I think this is THE perfect home for us.
It’s got the right number of bedrooms and living areas plus ample garaging for Simon’s toys for the big boys and the most important thing, it’s very close to Bea’s school. She doesn’t need to commute for almost an hour by bus to get to school.
Our two main considerations for buying a house are the following:
- modern kitchen, large master bedroom, large living area, large walk-in wardrobe, lots of windows and light coming through, an ensuite in the main bedroom (me)
- at least 3-car garaging and very minimal DIY fixer-upper to do around the house (Simon)
There is neither time nor inclination to move houses at this time given my condition.
But it’s free to dream, right? Maybe this house won’t sell at the price the vendors want and it gets re-listed at a lower amount.
Who knows?

Hi Kat – we have a 3-car garage now and it houses MY car, Simon’s motorbikes, sports car and workshop. His truck sits outside in the cold! LOL
I told him I don’t care what he does with the garage in whatever set-up he wants as long as my car stays inside (especially in the winter)
whoa! nice! =D
Nothing wrong with making an offer — even if it’s a low one. I hear from lots of people who are shocked that their low ball offer was accepted, or that they got a reasonable counter offer.

Thanks MJ. I hope to convince hubby that this property is worth making an offer on! LOL
